Drawing and Painting on Canvas  3:45-4:45 pm ages 5 and up; 8weeks for $300.00*,(add $10/wk for materials) Students will first learn the basics of drawing, then they will paint the project on canvas. They will also learn fundamentals of painting such as mixing colors, color wheel, brush strokes, and how light affects the subject. Each student will create a variety of masterpieces on stretched canvas ready for hanging with or without a frame.

Creative Creations, mixed media :  3:45-4:45  ages 5 and up, 8 weeks/$300 (add $10/wk for materials) : Students will learn to work with a variety of media. Projects include:watercolor, ink, colored pencil, tempura, acrylics, oil pastel, and collage. Novices as well as experienced students will learn new techniques each week, including shading, color mixing, drawing skills, shapes, etc.

LEGO or CRAFTS 3:45-4:45 Ages 5 and up -; Lego: 8 classes for $225.00 Students will learn to design their creation , then build their creation with Lego master Joe.

Crafts: 8 weeks for $225(add $10/wk for materials)  

Kids will learn to to do a different craft/art project each week. Some examples are: Clay, Sand Sculpture, Ceramics, Photo Frame, Paper Mache, Nature Art, and more.

Calling All Artists with Gillian  Saturday: 10:45-12:00 Ages 8-14; intermediate/advanced ;8 weeks/$300 plus (add $10/wk for materials)

This class is designed for young artists who are interested in multi media art. Students will learn about the basic elements and principles of art which are the building blocks of visual art. This class will cover multicultural explorations along with learning about famous artists from our past and present. Creative techniques will be discussed and demonstrated each week so students can take what they have learned and apply it to their own creations.

Music Creation Lab

3:00-4:00

In this fun and hands-on collaborative class, you will work with award-winning songwriter, music producer, and musician, Charlie Mangold, to create a song while you learn the basics of songwriting:  structure, lyric writing, accompaniment, and Garage Band music production.  No prior singing or instrumental experience is required.  Just bring your ears and your creativity!  If you do play an acoustic or electric instrument, please bring it.  Drum kit and keyboard will be available.  At the end of the session, participants will bring home a CD of their group song.  

Be Creative With Me : 4:45-5:45 Ages 6-12 ;8 for $300.00*, (add $10/wk for materials)  an art workshop (with instruction) where kids feel free to draw and create whatever they imagine. Some our most creative  works of art come from this class.We will work with mixed media paintings using different techniques and textures. We will experiment with drip paintings and abstract designs.

Mixed Media : 4:45-5:45 Ages 7 and up -beginners;8 for $300.00*, (add $10/wk for materials)  Drawing and Painting on canvas using paint and textures. Students learn to mix paint colors and how the color wheel works. They will learn different brush strokes and how light affects the subject. Students will create a variety of works on canvas, ready for hanging, plus other projects that include oil pastel, clay and collage and watercolor.

Famous Artists, Arts in Culture:  4:45-5:45 pm ages 6-13, 8 weeks/$300 (add $10/wk for materials) : Kids will learn about a famous artist such as Van Gogh, and create a masterpiece of their own in that style. They will also learn about a cultural art or holiday and create in that style. An example of this is Aboriginal art from Australia.

Calling All Artists with Gillian 2  Saturday: 12:00-1:15 Ages 5-12 intermediate/advanced ;8 weeks/$300 plus (add $10/wk for materials)  This class is designed for young artists who are interested in developing their skills in drawing and painting. Students will learn effective ways of seeing through value, composition and color.19th and 20th century artists and their techniques will be discussed and demonstrated each week. Students will then take what they have learned and apply it to their own creations.
